The 2023 nomination is now closed.
BSG is a member of the Academy of Social Sciences (AcSS). In recent years, we have successfully nominated a number of BSG members to become Fellows of the Academy of Social Sciences. This is a mark of distinction and denotes an outstanding contribution to the study and/or practice of social science.
We have been invited to submit nominations for the next round of selection for new Fellows.
The key criteria are: ‘a leading figure in their field and have already left a clear mark on it’ and ‘has furthered social science’ https://www.acss.org.uk/membership/making-nomination-fellow/
Nominations do not need to be seconded by another member of BSG, but will be scrutinized by the Officers of the Society before being submitted to the full Executive Committee and a small panel of BSG AcSS Fellows. Nominations will then be submitted to the Academy.

Please return all completed forms to the Secretariat info@britishgerontology.org, with an accompanying CV from the nominee of no more than 4 pages.
Deadline for submission: Monday 25 September 2023.
Please do not send forms back to the AcSS as all nominations must be forwarded directly by BSG.
